Dr. Paul C. Lin brings honesty, optimism, and empathy to every patient interaction. The surgical and clinical aspects of his work excite him, but he finds nothing more rewarding than helping his patients achieve ultimate happiness by growing their families. Dr. Lin will be very transparent with you. He will not necessarily always tell you what you want to hear, but you will have the comfort of knowing what you are dealing with and he will hold your hand during the difficult journey. He will definitely make it easier with his attention to detail, making sure everything is covered.
He currently serves at Seattle Reproductive Medicine as the Medical Director of the Seattle Reproductive Surgery Center (where egg retrievals and hysteroscopies are performed). He is currently the President of the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology (sart.org) and board member of the American Society of the Reproductive Medicine. As a result, he is spearheading reproductive specialist policy and procedures nationally advocating for patient and increasing access to care. He is also a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Seattle Gynecologic Society, and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.
Dr. Lin’s extensive surgical background combined with board certification in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility have garnered him recognition by his peers and patients alike. He has a special love and interest in reproductive surgery and extensive experience with laparoscopic and hysteroscopic fibroid removal; surgical management of endometriosis; and surgical management of uterine issues such as endometrial polyps, intrauterine adhesions, and uterine septums. Not only does he consider tubal repair surgery (a dying art in the In Vitro Fertilization generation) but also is the only fertility specialist who still performs tubal reversals.

In addition to his surgery focus, he specializes in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in women with fibroid, endometriosis, and uterine anomalies and has 19 years of experience in the area of reproductive surgery. He is one of the few fertility specialists who also uses the robotic platform for his complicated surgeries. Committed to be the best surgeon for his patients, he is trained in the single-site robotic surgical approach and laser energy for the treatment of endometriosis.
Prior to becoming a founding partner of SRM in 2004, Dr. Lin was on the teaching faculty at the Fertility and Endocrine Center, in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Washington. During his subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Louisville School Of Medicine, he conducted research in the role of fibroids and endometriosis in relation to infertility, the effect of infections on IVF outcome, the reproductive impact of uterine anomalies and the optimal uterine evaluation for infertile couples. He also performed cutting-edge research on the role of human chronic gonadotropin, AKA hCG (an important reproductive hormone for cervical function), completing his board certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Lin was presented a Prize Video Award at the 58th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine in 2002 for Transvaginal Ultrasound-Guided Embyro Transfer. He has also received accolades as Outstanding Teaching Fellow from the University of Louisville Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, was awarded Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedure by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and Outstanding Resident Surgeon by the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He was also recognized as a Seattle Top Doc in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Dr. Lin grew up in upstate New York, in Buffalo. After graduating from Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Lin graduated from Albany Medical College, completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts University Baystate Medical Center, and completed his REI Fellowship at University of Louisville School of Medicine.
When he’s not helping patients become parents, he spends time with his two children, Michael and Emily, and loves to snow ski, boat, bike ride and attend Seahawks football games…although his heart and soul will always be with the Buffalo Bills!
